- If a Westsider can find a reason to stay on the ‘right side of the bridge’, you know he or she gladly will. There’s no need to cross the river unless absolutely necessary. As you can figure out I’m a life-long Westsider. With this blog I hope to document happenings in our community of about 20,000, and highlight the features that keep us here. I won't promise to keep all the posts westcentric, but most will be.

FYI - Those three houses on Pine Ave. used to be on the corner of Lancaster Ave and Dunn Ave. They were moved to make room for a new building that housed a Dominion Store for a number of years. The last time I was in Saint John, it contained the school board.
The houses would have been moved in the late 1950s or very early 60s. I have no memory of it (I'm 53) but my parents told me about it.
I'm enjoying browsing through your blog's archives. I grew up on the West Side, but haven't lived in Saint John for about 30 years. I'll always be a West Sider at heart, though.
