The Remains of Detroit

A few weeks ago I stumbled across an online article about the demise of urban Detroit.  Sean Hemmerle: American Rust Belt features amazing images of what looks like a decaying movie set.  They are images of formerly stunning buildings abandoned and left to rot.  Really quite sad.
The site is  worth viewing.
Michigan Theatre, built in 1926 and functioned as a performance space until 1976 when it was converted into a parking lot, Detroit, Michigan, March 20, 2008
